Submersible pumps, also known as submersible water pumps, are a type of centrifugal pump that function while fully submerged in fluids, such as sewage, slurry, mine water, or water containing corrosive chemicals.
The pumps use either electric or pneumatically powered mechanisms to create a pressure difference. This draws the fluid in and then forces it out through a discharge outlet.
